All,
I've been tracking my Bronco Gas milage every fill-up for the first 10,000 miles.
Some details before hand
2021 Bronco Badlands, V6!!, soft top, lux, Sas, with MGV seats.
First Oil Change at @6,421 miles
Tires run at 36-39 psi
Average Gas milage: 16.9
Towing 3,500 lbs worth of boat/trailer/engine it gets about 14 mpg.

See the attached report for full details and some analysis.

Interesting notes, It get's worse gas milage at 85 mph on I-10 than it does in the city, you can see fill-ups close together when I made road trips to west Texas correlate with lower gas mileage.

I've charted ethanol % to see if ethanol makes a difference. Some times it does, some times not. Can't say there is correlation here.

I've charted price per gallon as well, obviously it's been increasing.

Let me know if you have any questions

Look about the same as my 16 Jeep Jkā€¦..
Weā€™ll see when my unit comes in.

After 1,000 miles Iā€™m getting about 16.5 mpg on ethanol fuel mostly city driving. About what I expected with heavy 35ā€ tires/wheels and the boxy design of the Bronco. When I have longer/highway trips I mostly take our ā€˜18 Range Rover(Ford Lion 3.0 diesel). Itā€™s much quieter, has better seats, and gets 29 mpg on the highway.

I've got 12k miles on mine and my experiences match yours. I, too, notice a big decline driving 85, vs. 78mph. Over 80mph is heavily penalized. Good data - Thanks for sharing.

Iā€™ve also found the gas mileage to be better than expected. I have a 4 door Wildtrak and drive 52 miles 1 way into Chicago from the suburbs. And have been averaging 19 miles per gallon. I did slow down a bit from 75 to 72 mph. I noticed a difference. Very happy with the 2.7!

18.2 MPG over the last nearly 1500 miles, including a few off-road trips. I have a 4-dr FE thatā€™s rated at 17mpg city & hwy, so the extra 1.2 MPG is appreciated. Maybe the Roush Cold-Air Intake is helping?

That's insane the difference! tires and ride height are everything.
I would assume the OP has a 4 door which would be the biggest difference maker.

I just got to Lake Havasu Az. After a 250mi. drive from So. Cal.
2.7 Badlands Sasquatch 4door. I was in no hurry so set cruise at a couple over the speed limit, basically all interstate and arrived with the display showing 20.3 MPG.

Itā€™s the calendar date your engine was made. Located under the hood, in front of the driver. On a label. Hereā€™s mine.

Only important because there has been engine failure in a number of 2.7ā€™s during mid to late summer production 2021.

Starting with numbers/letters on the bottom line. Count six from the left and then the next five numbers are your Julian date. Mine is 21228. That means 2021 and the 228th calendar day of the year. That 228 equals August 16. Thatā€™s when the engine was made.
My Bronco was built on my Birthday 12/7/2021. With eng. Build 323 days in. Is that good ? šŸ¤”

Yes, thatā€™s a good date. It is out the of the engine failure range. The later range went right up to when my engine was built. There was one outlier I believe. I have 12,500 miles on my engine, so Iā€™m confident I have a good engine.

I have a 22 Badlands Sas package manual 2.3l. I have been averaging 17.1 17.2 for about 2000 miles I have on it. My driving is mostly sub 55 in and out of towns and back roads. I did try a tank of 94 and reset the other trip with no change in mpg. Still 17.1/17.2.

Once I get on the highway with rolling hills and 74, my mileage goes up when heading east and down when heading west (prevailing wind in the northeast).

Very happy over my old wrangler that would range from 14 to 16 3.6l and less pep.

I feel your pain on the around town avg. Its pretty bad. I'm getting a Mav hybrid for a daily end of the year hopefully.

Yeah my MPG average is pretty bad, 12.5! I drive city mostly w a small stretch of freeway to visit family. Tried low octane unleaded, high octane unleaded, economy GOAT mode, still 12.5! 4 door Badlands Sasquatch 2.7 soft top. I almost always have the top down , so the heat is often on plus electric heated seat and steering wheel, so maybe that electricity is pulling more power and thus gas?

Meanwhile still loving every moment. It's insane how many compliments and looks a day this thing gets on the road!

have to flex (flat and level on US-87 outside of San Angelo). They are doing construction (actual speed limit is 60 there right now).

same trip after passing through San Antonio, on I-37 headed to Corpus Christi.
IMG_20220413_184145.jpg

Mind you, I was not driving aggressively.
And here was going the opposite way, and driving a little more assertively today.

Two-way average is 23 MPG average speed was 68.5 MPH.
