Ford Posts All-Time Monthly Hybrid Sales Record

Ford Bronco Bronco April 2024 Sales & Production: 8,316 Sold / 11,395 Produced 1714664928719

Customer reception to Ford hybrid vehicles continues to accelerate, with U.S. sales reaching 17,997 in April, a 60 percent improvement from the same month a year ago and a new monthly record.

Sales of the new F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid set a new monthly record in April – up 93.6% – making F-150 Hybrid America’s top-selling full-size hybrid pickup. Early customers of the new 2024 model are overwhelmingly choosing to upgrade to the available 7.2kW Pro Power Onboard feature, which brings power to a jobsite, tailgate party, or power appliances during a power outage.

So far this year, Maverick Hybrid is the best-selling hybrid pickup overall; customers bought 26,061 Maverick Hybrid trucks over the first four months of 2024. Most of those customers – 59% – are coming from other brands and segments, notably trading in their small SUVs for a Maverick.

Last year Jan-Apr Ford sold 41,913 Broncos (sport not included) and this year Jan-Apr they sold 32,382. So...when do you guys think that dealers are going to get it and start discounting? I am going to buy in the fall if prices come down. My dealer has 10 on the lot (7 Raptors, 2 badlands, 1 big bend), and 6 of which are 2023s.

Ford trimmed some 24 Bronco prices and dealers are discounting 23s which seem to be moving with $5-8K discounts. Not many left.

Ford is seeing the writing on the wall and another month of flat sales and you might see $2-3K new incentives and maybe price cuts later in the year.

My local Ford dealer has a loaded (20", underbody shield, forest green interior) 22 Rivian R1T for $61K and I am tempted by a R1S demo that is $70K ($67K after tax credit) with barely any miles. Used and new prices are falling in 2024... a good time if you need another vehicle.

Not specific to Bronco’s, and not sure if you know but in case someone else does, we will be looking for a car later this year as my daughter turns 16 in march. Will prices continue to drop for used cars? Are there any specific types that may see deeper drops?

The dealer I got my '24 OBX already discounted over $2k off MSRP. While another dealer being stubborn still has +$5700 premium pricing. Some get it. Some don't. Still seeing some dealers with 2023's at near 2024 prices.

Judging by all the Escapes that Ford is selling and how the Bronco isn't selling well they need to bring back the base model. I personally don't need nor want a giant 12" center screen, heated seats, memory mirrors and seats, ultra sonic sensors everywhere, ETC. I just want a basic offroader with 35s.

Meanwhile the Maverick is now Ford's third best selling vehicle...

It's funny how if you produce a strong product offering and keep the price below $30k it will sell like hotcakes...

My first vehicle was a '98 Ranger. The current gen Ranger is a bloated pig like every other pickup lately.

The Maverick slots into what the Ranger used to be. Functional truck for regular people stuff. Start it under $30k when the price of everything is inflated beyond reason and this is a total winner.
