TLDR: Ford OEM Hardtop panel defect. I bought a hardtop directly from Ford and passenger panel was defective. Adding the correct point of contact and process to get it replaced at bottom of email.

I have a 2023 Outer Banks softtop. I took the rebate to remove the hardtop from my order and have been trying to get a hardtop ever since. I paid for an AFC top but cancelled and got a refund before the controversy thanks to red flags on that from this forum. I was waiting on my letter to order from Ford, to then learn in February you could now order outright from Ford.
I ordered a Hardtop and shipped to my home due to no dealership nearby. Dealer install - $450, home delivery -$250 (varies by location) Apprently, not all dealerships can receive the orders, only ones with an e-commerce department.
When it arrived, the passenger panel was 3 inches longer than the driver panel. It would not fit by itself or with the driver panel.
After calling the number on the email order, I had to bounce around several offices. I found the correct office and had to submit an email with details and pictures. The tech admitted they had been seeing a few of these come in, so I think there are a number of the defect panels out there.
Finally, they are sending a replacement panel. Hope this helps anyone else in this situation:
