We dealt with our dealer for years, so it was more a matter of going in, placing the order, paying the grand and then waiting for the confirmation email.

How long until they tell me when it should be produced though, curious if I got a later '21 or early '22

Ford has said May is when everyone will get their delivery estimate update

I did mine by phone also on Monday. My dealer called me back this morning because part of the order didn't print correctly and he wanted to reconfirm everything. They are putting in all conversions today that they have so far. Mine now shows ordered with todays date, but also says "call dealer". Not sure what that means. I'll give it overnight and see what happens.
I just received an email from Ford showing order confirmed.

Bronco will be my first Ford car. I had a great experience ordering.

First of all, I'm not gloating dispect some of the others are claiming.
Just trying to share the positive experience that I had.

I literally send the build (print as PDF, attach to mail) to the sales rep and general manager before I headout. I arrive at the dealership, they gave me the form in the link for me to verify, I sign the paper. Done. No down deposit, "X-plan discount" as promised. No BS.

2 business days later, got an official Ford email confirmed my order is received.

Assuming the remaining steps will go just as smooth, I think I just found my favorite brand and dealership.

I've had a very positive experience from Village Ford. I've done business with their service department for years and never an issue. The same is true for the sales side. The initial salesman followed up several times to answer gray area questions after consulting with Ford. The ordering manager was very patient and was honest about everything. No down payment, no add ons, just respect.

I think I did not have any problem. Then again I decided to take out a lot of features from my final decision so that I would not risk delay. I did have a question I am hoping someone can answer. Can the dealer add any fees to the price? My dealer added a document prep fee and a tire/battery fee. Is this normal? are these regular dealer fees?
Not if you agreed on the price already.

I sort of knew anyway - Oct 1.

But, "I was told in an email. I got DUMPED in an email! I'm traumatized!"

Similar experience. And I was told a $5,000 dealer mark up was going to be added. Not feeling good about it here but trying to work with the dealer before I further put on blast and try to switch my order. Ordered a base 2 door, silver, no add on's but a roof rack.
Run away. Too many options for invoice or below and dealers offering X-plan equivalent pricing if you are not averse to traveling to pick it up.

Not so much an order experience but I did have my first phone conversation with my dealer today. I explained that I wanted to wait and convert my order this summer as a MY22. He said that he would have to discuss it with his owner. After thinking about our conversation I followed up with an email to be clear that I was not giving up my reservation and that I planned to wait. I also ask for a reply so I could contact Ford customer care to move my reservation If they were not willing to work with me. I am a mid Sept res so I do not see any issues. We will see.
