I have a Big bend Bronco 2023 with the 6 speaker. I want to upgrade speakers and add and amp. I love my music loud even with doors and top off. Want to keep it within 1000-1500 any recommendations??

Go look at the Kicker 200.4 + 500.1 setups. A ton of threads on here about that and right in line with what you are looking for - complete with videos

I was in the same boat with my 24 2DR Heritage with 7 speaker system...i just finished it yesterday...ended up getting everything from Trail Seven...Kicker Key 200.4, with new Kicker CS 4 inch dash, 6.5 Kicker CS inside SSV Pods, (kick panels still factory)....the Kicker 200.4 plug and play harness made this very easy and it sounded much cleaner/brighter but that poor little factory sub couldn't keep up so I got the Kicker 51PTRTP 10' down firing sub with its built in 400w amp. I ended up paying $280 to a local shop to install the sub/amp and bass knob because I knew it required running all the way from back to front and into battery and didnt wanna funk it up. All in, right at $1600 and it sounds amazing top on or off..

You can re-groom the 200.4 to eliminate this. Re-run the tuning or adjust the gain down a bit

hmmm, I havent had that issue...and I dont have the compression on the kicker 200.4 which i understand will help with the clipping..., fader on, gain almost all the way down . I tried the auto DSP several times and just found it to be muddled (even after pulling fuse for factory sub and making sure EQ on head unit was flat) so I left it off. Now that I have gotten in via forscan (I had to as the Engine Sound Enhancement was making the new SUB rumble like crazy when I stepped on the gas) while I was in there I got rid of factory EQ and made back pods "speaker" and turned on bambi lights :)

I will probably try the DSP again next time I have the hard top on but for now it sounds great!
