Here is my conspiracy theory, last time you parked the auto shut off kicked in and you put it in park and thought you had turned the ignition off and left the vehicle. Then later the battery monitor realized the battery was low and decided to start and charge the battery so you won't have a dead battery next time. I think this is reversed alien technology at work
Ya that would freak me out and spend many hours trying to figure it out.

Brother, you are off your rocker calling OPs question "inflammatory"... go educate yourself on the stuff Edward Snowden disclosed before he was forced into hiding. Remote access on modern vehicles is not even a classified tech anymore. Joe Rogan had a good interview that might be a 101 intro for you. The Patriot Act happened. That technology is not fiction, it's historical FACT.

The 20 Amp fuse controlling your cars modem is a reality you should be well aware of. Don't demean and marginalize other people's opinions just because you might have a blind spot or pre-conceived bias. You might just learn something that could benefit you keeping a more open and tolerant mind.

Ride on, Brother! With all respect and kindness.
You start off quoting Edward Snowden? :ROFLMAO: Dude, no :cautious:

The OP is out in the middle of nowhere with no one around. Plus, no one wants to steal your Bronco bro. There’s no insane market for ā€œstockā€ parts with it yet, it isn’t as easy to steal as a KIA with costs cut everywhere to make it ā€œlookā€ expensive while in fact itā€˜s just a cheap POS that a KIA is.

The fact that you and the OP instantly find the implausible, plausible first, beyond a mistaken button press by someone in the home where the keys are hanging on a hook by the damn door, where there are children present just enlightens us on who you are. Tin Foil Hat, ā€œmust be a big conspiracy against me, even though I’m a nobody with nothing of real valueā€ is laughable.

No one is out to get you man, most people don’t even know you exist, neither are they out to get me; I’m no one special either.

It’s inflammatory to put out there vehicles starting on their own. We hear of all types of crap on the forum all day for the past 3 years, but what we havenā€˜t heard is the truck starting itself. Why not? It’s not aliens, or a foreign country, or even AI…… yet. It’s because, vehicles don’t start themselves. Sort of like how guns don’t fire on their own without a trigger manipulation although when convenient, some tell stories that they do….

Stranger things have happened. This happened to me once. I was mounting a ski rack on the thing and suddenly the engine fired up. That's what I get for trying to get things done too quickly, I suppose. Worth noting, though, that I had a lot of problems with the APIM early on; there were times during which it went dark when it was supposed to be on, and other fun issues. Haven't had any such problems since it was replaced, and haven't made this mistake again.

Happened to me too. Wasn’t aliens, wasn’t my 11 year old. It happened and I wasn’t the only one to see it. I simply put it out there to see if others had experienced it.

I’m not buying this story. I agree with others: It’s BS. If it did start, it’s because someone did something, somewhere (phone, key fob).

I support your right to share anything you wish, unlike others who are interested in suppressing your rights… And I say this because it’s then incumbent upon the rest of the community to decide for itself whether or not you’re credible going forward.

My headlights turn on by them selves quite opten. The dial shows on, I have to turn the dial back to auto.

Sitting outside today, about 40 feet from my 2021 FE, key in the house, when the vehicle started all by itself! Wife and I both observed this and asked each other if we had done something.

Checked the key in the house and it was hanging, securely in the key box. I didn’t have the app open either.

Anybody else ever had this happen? Could have been seriously dangerous if this had happen in our garage.

@Ford Motor Company ever hear of this?

Your hitting the dial with your leg when you get in. This problem has plagued me since day one

Buy or don’t buy, I’m not selling anything. Just related something that happened and curious why it did happen. Hoping the community might have experience that could enlighten.
Happy Independence!

This is why all these connected vehicles will end badly for all of us. Just wait until the government decides you have driven too much in a week and then won’t start bc of muh climate change
Precisely, Ford just accepted a $9.2 Billion dollar "conditional loan" from the Government. I think we can all do the math on that one....

did you have to use forscan?
I would like to know how to along with how to access/manage forscan?!
