Huh. If the jeep flipping to its side is a “marginal” result, what is a bad result?

The issue with the Wrangler is it was off-balance - There weren't enough Monster energy drink stickers on it to keep it from rolling over.

Also, watching a Bronco run into a wall makes me sad inside.

Maybe some 22” rims would have helped as well.

Definitely a significant difference. The Bronco dissipates that energy so well compared to the Jeep.

I think in an offset test, a vehicle with a tapered nose (Wrangler) is also at a disadvantage. It’s almost like the barrier slides right along the side of the hood.

The bronco is a beast. Really curious if leg cabin would be impacted at all with sas (crashbars removed). You see the bronco wheel go sideways and stay in the wheel well upon impact in the video

It looks like the Jeep rolls because the front tire is ripped off and run over by the frame.

I'm curious if a sasquatch Bronco would roll over in this test because it doesn't have the crash bars.

It was burned to a crisp, just like my dreams of a 2022.
Doh, sorry!

Wonder if we'll ever see a SAS w/o crash bars in the test? I can't tell for sure, but it looks like the rear bar is what really helped divert the tire from the cab.

Edit: Looks like 3 of us posted the same thing!

Interesting how the Bronco deflects downward to the impact and the Jeep deflects up (and over). As someone else mentioned, I would like to see this test with the crash bars removed (Sas).
