No factory brake controller. (not offered on the 2023 Bronco).Yours has a Ford factory installed brake controller then? No controller is a major reason I havent bought a Bronce yet. To me thats like not having a trailer hitch
I've been waiting for them to add one and rain sensing wipers before I order a Bronco. There is no option for a factory installed brake controller.
It’s good to know the wiring is there and there’s a aftermarket plug-n play option. No factory brake controller. (not offered on the 2023 Bronco).
My Bronco had the factory tow package, it does not include the brake controller.
I had to purchase an aftermarket Redarc brake controller and install it. It is "plug and play" the wiring connector is already there.
All my older Ford trucks require an aftermarket brake controller to be installed. The wiring, relay, fuses, 7 & 4 way connectors were all there.
Does that 07 Lariat have a factory brake controller?
I'm going with this one for a future trailer purchase. Same as @RydfreeIt’s good to know the wiring is there and there’s a aftermarket plug-n play option.
My 2002 Excursion had a brake controller. I don’t know if it was Ford or aftermarket but all I had to do is unplug it and plug it into my 2003 when I got home with it. Still works great.
It still amazes me how many people ordered their Bronco without the towing package…. It was cheap if you consider your time and trouble worth something. Time is money.
