Maybe the theory is more accurate than we thought - that your estimated build date is not really tied to when they build it, but rather when they estimate it to be finalized. I.e. someone pushed out from late July to August (to September) could potentially have a Bronco sitting here. Maybe not today, but in a few weeks. The build date pushback could have maybe a month of so of 'purgatory' built in to catch up with hardtops (or something else)

If it’s not a safety issue and just cosmetic MIC, these need to get shipped and dealt with through a program at a later date. They ship vehicles with recalls almost daily. Holding a retail order for a cosmetic issue indefinitely is nuts.
