Well, I needed a rear deck for my 2D Bronco and took a weekend to build one. That being said, I will still be ordering the Goose Gear deck over the winter. But this will hold me over until then. All made with 3/4 in plywood and bed liner paint. The hardest part is getting the correct length for the bolts and the hole placement for them. Enjoy the picks!

The goose gear looks so good, but their price just seems a little too high.

Cost in bolts alone was about $100. The rest was not bad, as I had wood and liner on hand. But I do like the Goose Gear stuff. I like the recessed bolts and other options to add later. Yea a little expensive but probably worth it in the end.

Looks great! Dibs on this one when you get the Goose gear. HAHA, just kidding, unless you live nearby.

I have the Goose Gear which I really like but you did a great job. Get yourself something like a rubber mat and cut it to shape and that may help with the bolts not being recessed.

So a trick to getting the hole locations to line for projects like this is to put the bolts in the holes a few threads. Then line up your wood and smack each location with a rubber mallet. The bolt should leave a good impression on pine plywood, remove wood, then drill the holes from the back side.

Did that one my DYI camp kitchen box and everything lined up perfectly.

Did that with the first level boards. but second level was a little more tricky. But got them all lined up after checking many times. Happy with the end product for now.
