 There's a thread about colors in the last month, when the heritage edition for MY22 was announced, and it was speculated that CO might be an only MY21 color.
Yeah, I saw that. I'd be really bummed. But not much I can do. My backup would be velocity blue. I need color in my life!

With any July reservation, If you want a 2021, do not let the dealership stop you from converting.

That allocation is an estimate. Don't let allocation decide if you want to take a shot at getting a 2021.

2021 Allocation can go up and down depending on a number of factors. Or, your dealer can be fudging the numbers or your place in line for any hair-brained reason. Don't trust your dealer, get the order in.

Shop your dealers, that's a great idea. The more this happens the more dealerships will realize they can't mess around. All they have to do to get a freaking sale is be polite and take your order.

I don't know why that's so hard.

Wow. So we 7/16'ers are SOL. Oh well. I'm fine with it as long as I can keep my Cyber Orange.
Cyber Orange is the one thing I am worried about right now. When I asked Mike about it on twitter he response was they are bringing new colors to 22 and some colors would have to leave, but it wouldn't say CO is leaving.

My hope is that if Ford is going to drop CO for MY22 then maybe they will try to push as many builds with that color selected through in order to not lose any of those sales.

At least your dealer has reached out to you. I'm a 7/22 reservation holder and am 99.9% sure I will be a MY22 order.

There's still hope for you guys! The conversion rate might be lower than expected and I think once they release some of the special editions and other colors available MY22 some will be moving from 2021 to 2022. On Twitter Levine said they should be releasing some information by this weekend on new colors.
Exactly this. Multiple your position in line by .7 (Fords estimated conversion rate of 70% which we all agree is high) and then multiply that number by 0.8 (80% wanting MY21, 20% opting to wait for MY22 options) and THEN see where you stand in line. You Day2, 3 and some 4 people are not dead in the water just yet. Get your order ready and submitted!

I just finished with my dealer. I have two reservations from 7/15. The dealer is allocated 115 broncos. My reservations are in the 160's and 170's, so that pushes me out to MY22.

There is a possibility not all of those ahead of me will convert so there is still a chance.

I'm looking at other dealers since my dealer won't budge off MSRP.
according to Ford (and the Bronco specialist I spoke with on the phone) , dealer allocations should not matter since reservations will be filled in the order they were placed.

I have a 7/14 reservation and have already had to have several conversations with Ford and switch dealerships on 1/19 because of BS the original dealership was trying to pull including telling me that is I didn't convert my reservation to an order on day 1 I would loose my reservation.

I have a 7/15 reservation and have an appointment next week to place my order for a '21 MY. so depending on the allocations and reservations at your dealership its possible. BUT i did get the last spot and thats only because 3 people went to 2022

Just spoke to my dealer and I'm 17 out of 400 reservations (late 7/13 but showing as 7/14). Using your math I crack the top 10! So it looks good on paper but I'll stay cautiously optimistic. 2 doors, 2.7 and Lux package might gum up the works.

I never really grasp the amount of reservations that happened on those first few days until I heard that you folks with the 07/15 reservations may be looking at 2022's. That amazing. I'd have never thought that.
It’s nothing like a bell curve. The reservations were gigantic in the first few days and then taper out. I’m somewhere out there at a Z score of about +9

I think I’m getting a model year 2034, the way this is working out

they would have to get about a 68% conversion rate, even with the enthusiastic early reservation holders, that is not insurmountable, plus some will be ordering late items that might go into '22 or want a '22 outright. You are not in that bad of shape.

I would have to agree with this, you do not know how many of those people in front of you may actually convert. The reveal was a crap storm when it came to reserving I think some people reserved more then one as well just because there was so much confusion. Any one on the line or just outside the allocation line I think has a good chance at a 21'

Sorry. That's false. Allocation matters. It's actually the single most important thing followed by reservation time

the 115 was an estimate...they can gain or lose...the REAL # comes out in april...the question to ask is how many they legitimately converted with reservations before urs...you wont know your final place until after 3/19...also keep in mind, if 20 people would transfer to them with 7/14 reservations b4 the cutoff, you are now 180...

btw, if ur in Arizona, i think Socal has a "group" that might be able to help you with pricing on a transfer
