BYOD rail from AR

So I pre-ordered the BYOD rail from AR racing. Then literally 2 weeks later they come out with a Badlands limited edition, orange and black
Well, I just have to say that the AR team are phenomenal because after reaching out I was able to snag when I'm thinking to be one of a kind rail. I was told it was there prototype in a new color that didn't have the standard laser etching on it and I'm super stoked to came in today.
Also ignore my sexy Jeff Goldbloom or don't?

Can I ask: If you mount some towards the ends, does it “bounce”, since the ends aren’t secured?

I have the smaller centered version.

I'm happy with my Tarmac black rail in my black FE interior, but if those colors were announced sooner I mighta jumped on one

I don't seem to have any trouble with bouncing and I would assume if you have a little bit of weight on it should be fine. Plus the ends have 3M tape on the bottom

Just a slight brag, I'd much rather have the Badlands addition, but I jumped the gun and then missed out after I missed the announcement. So I guess this is the next best thing all together I like it better than just plain old black

Reports from people with that rail who took it off road are that it will constantly bounce on you. Which makes sense as there's a non-functional amount of double-sided tape on each end for stability.

Might take a few weeks before the metal nut works it's way through the plastic housing for the one mounting point until she starts dancing.

If I ever get a Bronco, the first thing going on the rail will be a hula girl to measure the rail movement accurately.

I loved the chrome one I originally ordered (think they call it tumbled matte clear) but it just reflected too much on the windshield and blocked the view right across the middle. I switched it out for their Cold Smoke version, which is the same color as the dash and I’m very happy with it!
