I wonder if Ford actually has an QC issue with the amount of green in CG. If it really is only supposed to be a hint of green and some batches have more and some less, that could easily account for all the variation that people are seeing across different vehicles(ranger/BS), times, and locations.
Some processes are just very sensitive to very slight variations and it wouldn't surprise me if this was one of those scenarios.
That being said, I'm a photographer and have worked with graphics quite a bit, so I know color pretty well. There are so many variables that affect how colors in an image appears to a person, that you can't really say one way or another how it is going to look to someone else.
When I went in to place my order, the CG ranger that I saw at the dealer looked light gray with a hint of green to me on a mostly cloudy day.
