You can. I went to NH with my first Bronco. Going to Moab in a couple of weeks with my second.

I agree. It's based on the VIN, not the person.
If you buy one used and the PO didn't use their trip, you can still use the VIN.

Yes. I did this exact thing. Fist step is to input your Vin# and it takes about a week to verify.

Bought mine off the lot. Registered on the website and they confirmed my purchase a few days later.

Register online, submit your VIN and it will comeback in a day or so as approved (as long as it was a new-untitled Bronco and not used).

Pro tip. If you are bringing a guest, after VIN approval, complete the rest of the registration process but don't check out and leave it in your cart. In a couple of days you will receive a guest discount of $100.00. Or you can just try the code they sent me:
