Center console storage issues

Who else has issues with the storage tray in the center console dropping down. What a poor design. Every time I need to get to the bottom section of the center console, that damn tray drops down when I try to pull it out, resulting in everything spilling to the bottom. Is anybody making one that has a handle or something that can be used to lift it out? I've looked and found several after market options. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Try laying it into the grooves without locking it into the tracks. Should lift out easily then. Or, lock it into the grooves if you haven’t been by pushing down on it. Then you can reach past it without flipping it out.

lol. It plagues all of us!!! I put a cord through a hole in the tray and use that to pull the tray out when I need to get below. I also added some Velcro to the edges of the tray to keep it in place which has helped preventing spilling its contents

I have this is well but only the 2 tray option. I'm totally happy with it also.

I saw a solution to your problem. I drilled 2 small holes in the top organizer and threaded a piece of Paracord to make a handle. Makes easy to pick up and guide back in place.

Got the same one as Lynn (Mabett). Fits perfectly and easy to remove to access lower portion of the console.
