Yes - have it on several vehicles & it’s great stuff. I do get annual touch ups/re-coat.

I had my Raptor coated with the 5 year System X and a year later when I had stealth PPF applied, they needed to remove the ceramic coating and the shop owner told me that it was one of the most durable ceramic coatings that he has ever removed. I had an alternative product applied over the PPF and it’s good but, the System X was better.

Thank you, I have done more research, and it appears to be top notch. Ceramic Pro is very finicky to install with a bunch of rules for weeks after install and is mostly great marketing. My guy is quoting $1400 including windows and my painted top. Read nothing but great reviews and I like that it is Carfax registered

Don’t forget to ceramic coat the rims too!

never used it - but I sware by GTechniq. Pretty easy to apply, lasts a long time, and doesnt wear off easily either.

Do yall go off-roading in your Broncos? Does it protect against brush scratches? In Texas they’re called Texas pinstripes. Drives me crazy. Would love to find something other than a garage that would protect my “Lone Ranger”

Some coatings/installers overblow the scratch resistance of their products. Yes, it will — slightly. It’s a few microns but it’s there.

Yessir, I wheel my rig. Ceramic coating is primarily for cleanliness - PPF is for protection.

For your TX use case, I would suggest PPF - anything else will only provide minimal protection from the most minor branches/brush/rocks etc.

Just keep in mind, there are different applications of Ceramic. What he and I are talking about - System X, that is applied by a certified installer and has warranties and can be Carfax registered. So when you go to sell your rig, it actually shows on the Carfax that you have Cermaic applied not "oh yea I did it" with no proof but a piece of paper from the guy that did it. I am not looking to wax on ceramic myself.

PPf is the way to go but pretty costly unless you do it yourself. I havent done the bronco, I plan to tho. A lot of relatively straight body panels and removabilityy will make it pretty easy

PPF and Ceramic have different roles. Most people on high end cars will do both. PPF and then ceramic over it. You get paint protection for easy cleaning/swirls etc and impact protection from rock chips/branches

Ceramic is more about mud/dust than scratches.

You need body armor, PPF or MEK Magnet panels for pinstripes.

I call them desert pin stripes. I asked the people that did my PPF and ceramic coating if the ceramic coating would protect from pinstriping. They told me It probably would not. I told them I like to keep the sides waxed well so at least make them slippery and help to keep the brush from digging in as much. They said ceramic would also function in that way but I would probably still get the pin stripes.

I have had System X on my Bronco for three years. It was Diamond SS on the paint, and Revive on the hardtop, fender flairs, bumpers, all the exterior plastic. It is very good product line. I'm touching it up annually with System X Renew spray, which can be bought retail or on Amazon, and you can do the whole vehicle in under an hour. The initial application of the Diamond and Revive took many hours, as you only want to work on a small section at a time, and you have to get the timing of wiping after the flash just right.
