First post.

Was wondering if anyone knew anything about interchanging tops? I’m opting for the soft top but had planned on buying a hard top from Ford down the road or an after market hardtop of some sort. The bronco rep at the event at my dealership said they may not be to switch from soft to hard because of “plug-ins”. Anyone know an answer to this?

There are hook ups for rear wiper and defrost that you don't get with soft top from the factory. There's a bunch of threads on it. Hit the search for more info.

Lots of threads on this, if you go soft top only you don't get the wiring harness and plumbing for the wiper on the hardtop.

That's also assuming Ford makes a hard top available as an accessory sometime soon, rather than applying whatever stock they can get their hands on for build orders for the foreseeable future. Not to mention the logistics of planning for shipping these bulky items all over the country at a profit for everyone along the way.

as others have stated you won't have the hookups. if you don't care about that you can still get a hard top

The answer is:

if you want the hookups to be able to power the rear wiper and dispense washer fluid on your future hardtop you will need to purchase the hardtop first and get the soft top second.

if you don’t care about the rear wiper and washer fluid then you can order the soft top first and add a factory or aftermarket top later.

No worries, the search on here is pretty bad. Best way to find a thread is to go to google and add "bronco6g" to whatever you want to find.
