Cigarette lighter Plug replacement Options

In spite of thinking I was careful, and yet again losing the contents of my setpower freezer/frig when someone moved it and didn’t check to make certain the cigarette lighter connection on the a/c power adapter was tight, I say enough is enough. And the plug easily comes loose from my Bluetti battery while on the road also. IMHO is a poor system/method of connection. Can anyone suggest a tighter more robust connection?

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Lots of ways to tackle that. Least intrusive would probably be to put a whip around the cable and strap it around to something near so it stays in a bit better. But you could go all the way and replace the connector with something more robust, like a twist lock barrel connector
or something.

It’s all a longer story, but my precise wiring routing and use of zip ties works well until my wife gets to moving and shoving things around. I’m almost ocd neat and she’s at the other end.

The twist lock barrel connector would be a great solution on the a/c adapter and even in rear of bronco. I’ll look into them. Thanks for the suggestion.

What about upgrading to the 110v plug? I run my fridge off the 110v as my first option. The outlet is low enough that it's never been an issue getting unplugged. Plus, you'll have more flexibility for other uses.

yeah that plug needs an upgrade no matter what. Honestly I used zip ties on the cords on my plugs to stabilize them as they will come lose off road. my fridge has a 2 piece power cord and that will seperate.

Blue Sea Systems 12V Twist-lock is probably the easiest replacement. Going to have to rewire both your device and the port, though.
