I have noticed condensation in the rear under floor storage. I have tried leaving it open and empty for a day to dry out. It appeared to dry out but then the next day I checked it and it was wet again. Has anyone else noticed this as well?

My concern is that it is going to get mildew or something over time.

Here is picture I took after opening it this afternoon to check.

Great! Now, we’ll all have to get MGV from Ford until they can fix it.

Hope it’s nothing major.

I had a cooler roll over in my BMW 5 series one time, all the ice water drained down into the spare tire well and I didn’t realize it until I tried to start it the next day. BMW had put the main computer under the spare tire and it was toast / toasted many of the other 50 plus processors in the car. It was months of trial and error replacements (under warranty). They later had a recall to relocate that computer.

No bueno. Better make an appointment for water leak diagnosis to figure out the source. Yes, it can grow mold/mildew.

good luck & please keep us updated.

To make sure the interior is completely dry park it in the sun, leave us running with the heat on wide open for 20-30 minutes. If you are still getting moisture on a non raining day it’s the AC causing moisture. You could try a marine type descendant.

Looks like condensation to me. I'd guess you filled up recently and the cool fuel chilled this area and you have a humid day.

I have lived in south Florida for all of my drivign years and never seen any condensation like that. Only inside on the windows. That looks like a leak to me, water is collecting at the bottom. Take in for warrranty and they will fix it. let us know what it is.

If the car interior side of the top is wet, it is from a leak of some sort, if it is only wet on the inside, it will be condensation. Let us know what it ends up being from, and good luck on figuring it out.
