I have a new OBX four door Bronco. I was going to install the console vault cargo safe, until I read about the potential moisture issue (example thread: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...n-rear-under-floor-storage-area.19448/page-13). I decided that penetrating the plastic liner with retention screws was not a good idea.
I have a cargo liner on top of my carpet, and after a week in the humid Georgia sun with daily driving (trying to reach the 1000 mile break in), I've not seen any moisture whatsoever in the compartment. I've also checked the temperature of the cargo area after a one hour drive, and it was merely warm to the touch, not hot.
Does anyone know if ford has fixed this issue? Is this a hit-or-miss problem? Or does this begin to occur after some time?
Thanks,
DK
