I just recieved the GPCA tie down anchors. I installed them thinking that they were supposed to be a quick release option for the hard top and eliminate the need to use the socket wrench. While installing the 8 bolts, I realized that there are still 4 smaller T30 bolts that have to be removed as well. So I still have to pull out the socket wrench for these bolts when removing the top. I guess I was under the assumption that these anchors replaced all the bolts holding down the top. 😒

Jeep is the same way, but these t-knobs do shave off some time of screwing around with the torx socket as much.

Do you have a pic? There should only be 4 on each side, but there are 2 additional ones on the top (under rear passenger panel…obviously can’t put the anchors there). So either way you will need to to take out the tool kit. On the plus side, you can have 2 people at least work on unscrewing them at the same time? 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I guess. If I had known you'd still have to remove those other bolts anyway, I probably would not have purchased them. I guess the hooks are still usefull. Can never have enough hooks.

No, you will always have a couple more that you cannot use the t bolts or the rockworkxs ones for.

The only way to avoid extra fasteners, is to leave them off. Will the 8 be enough to hold it down? Probably. But I got them for extra tie downs, plus 8 that will be quick to remove. Familiarize yourself with the entire process as instructed, before deciding. I still see these as a benefit.

This clears up my misunderstanding. Thank you!!

I will keep the GPCAs. Those Rockworkx in orange is mighty tempting. Pretty...and pricey.

I am on his waiting list for a set of the orange, it will be a game day call when they are in stock in 3 months whether I can rationalize buying a replacement for something I already have that as you stated are very pricey. Double the GPCA's right?

Pretty sure the extras are for hard top alignment. Don't think you have to pull them out. They have a little nub on the bottom that drops into a hole.

So much on mods. Insane to think of. If I recall correctly, at least yours is built, and your just awaiting arrival. I am scheduled to be built the week of 3/21, but you know how that goes. I have already been bumped four times.
