Been searching but either the search engine isn’t picking up past threads or I’m blind.

would removing the crash bars constitute voiding my comprehensive3 year warranty? The sales guy seems to think so but I take what they say with a grain of salt.

really want to lift and enlarge my tires on my incomin OBX!

No, removing a discrete part with an inert function should only void the parts warranty but not the chassis or any other associated part or assembly, but your insurance might be...

It would be hilarious if it did void the warranty since Ford themselves removed it for the Sasquatch package.

BUT, they're bolt on. So remove them, run your big tires. If you ever need to take the vehicle in for warranty just reinstall the crash bars.

It could, however, impact your car insurance medical claims, as the crash bars are considered to be a safety feature.

Broncos with the Sasquatch pkg. do not have crash bars. I don't see how removing them would cause the warranty to be voided.

Sasquatch pkg is w/o crash bar and as far as I know, doesn't have any other alternate protection. The fact that they made them with removable hardware seems to indicate modularity. I'm not a lawyer but if your warranty issue is related to their removal I would think there could be an issue. If you go in for a totally unrelated item repair I'm doubting they will care.

Classic my dealer said. Removing the crash bars won't void your warranty and I doubt the tech would know they were even missing. Ask your dealer to explain how they can warranty a Sasquatch Bronco when they don't have the crash bars installed.

Edit. Looks like about 23 people beat me to it.

Shouldn't void the warranty, but it will prevent you from suing Ford if you got severely injured in an accident.

So you're saying I absolutely can sue Ford for any injuries and win with the prima facie evidence that they removed the crash bars from my sasquatch bronco?

Remove away. There is no warranty item that is affected AND there are models that never have them installed.

Nothing like minor legal analysis on an Internet forum.
