CV Axle questions

While installing my Eibach 2.0 today I jacked the drivers side outer cv joint. Is it possible to reassemble this? I’ll have to get a new boot if I do. In the interest of time I ordered an new axel assembly… my second question is, are there any tricks / precautions to removing the old and installing the new one?

35mm socket for retainer nut which can be found at most auto parts stores. Slide hammer with a CV puller might be needed for the drivers side. Driver side can get stuck if you have wheeled it. Good luck finding boots, they have to come from salvaged CVs.
