My new Bronco might be cursed. It came with one of the rear side windows misaligned, then a cylinder head temp sensor went south at less than 100 miles, causing the truck to go into a limp mode and resulting in over a week in the shop. Then this morning I noticed some grease on the inside of my front passenger side Rokblokz flap. Turns out the CV joint has flung grease everywhere. The picture doesn't really show how bad it is. So annoying. Thankfully, a friend who is a master tech at a Lincoln dealership around the corner from me told me he can do the warranty replacement at his shop so he's going to order a new axle tomorrow.

I have owned 6 new Fords over the years, and 4 have been nearly flawless (all Mustangs) and 2 have fought me every step of the way (Focus RS and now the Bronco).

Sucks. But, man builds it--and man can fix it.

That being said, please allow me to warn you against taking it anywhere that isn't a Ford dealership. You will want all of this documented clearly in Ford's systems, under the terms of the Ford new car warranty.

If you continue to have problems, you don't want anything getting in the way of a lemon law claim. Protect yourself.

Thank you for the advice - I asked him that exact question. But since Lincoln is part of Ford, it's all the same system apparently.

Sucks, but at least it's an easy fix, and under warranty. Just made a mess.

Indeed it it. Back in the day I had my Mercury serviced at the Ford dealership because the service department at the Lincoln-Mercury dealership (remember those?) was abysmal.
