So the RC mount bent again after installing the LOD brackets? Do you think the RC mount bent b/c of the initial incident? RC mount was weakened?
I can't rule out that it was already compromised.

Am I correct that the reinforcement brackets are really geared towards a high mount winch? IE a hidden winch wouldn’t suffer from these issues?
If the hidden winch isn't using the bumper, but rather relying on a separate winch tray bolted on elsewhere (i.e. rough country hidden winch), then it won't have the same issues that this bracket is intended to fix. However, if you have a steel bumper and intend for it to be bashed against rocks and whatnot, then it would be a good idea to strengthen that area with something like this regardless. It's reinforcing the interface between the bumper and the frame, as it seems to be a bit of a weak spot on the Bronco...it just took a high leverage winch application to make the problem apparent. Not a whole lot of people putting their front bumpers through the gauntlet enough to see it...yet.
