Fantastic and inspiring pics!!! Thanks for taking the time to share!!!
I'm showing them to my family right now, try to get them thinking about such a trip.
We are planning to do

Alaska next summer, probably the whole month of July then the Dempster around Aug 1. It would be nice to get a caravan together.

We are going. July ‘24!
I would be interested in joining a caravan to Alaska!
I'm about the least social person ever in real life, but I could be convinced!

Those pictures made my day, looks unbelievable. is most of the journey unpaved?
The Denali Highway is 135 miles long and cuts across the state east-west between the two highways that run north. The internet will tell you that the first few miles on each end are paved and the rest is dirt, but that's not exactly true. If you start from the west, you'll be on dirt right away, but near the halfway point it changes to chip seal. So while not technically "paved", the whole eastern half is basically asphalt these days. There are a handful of trails off the highway though, including a couple truly spectacular ones.

The Alaskan state birds are big enough to pick up small pets and take them back to their nests. Absolutely legendary and only slightly exaggerated. ;)
Man Alaskan mosquitos don't mess around, some of those suckers are monsters! A swarm of those little bastards could definitely take a small dog away 😆

Great pics, y'all had some super weather a week or so back.....did a quick 24hr layover in Anchorage and the whole time up and back in the jet I'm looking out the window thinking how it would look from the ground on the AlCan from the Bronco.....

You guys always seem to like my Alaska photos, and i like sharing them in full size rather than just cropped down Instagram posts, so here's some from my most recent trip across the Denali Highway. I've done it 3 times now and it's always jaw-dropping. No big wildlife sightings as usual, which is unfortunate. Still, the landscape is gorgeous, and that alone makes it worth the nearly 1000 miles I rack up each time I do it.

Caught the F22s doing what looked like some mock dog-fighting. 2 pairs of them, very cool to watch!

Awesome pics and excellent looking rig! Love the two larger lights on top of your bumper. I’m looking to do something similar with my FE. Can you share details on the lights you chose and your level of satisfaction?
Thanks for sharing your adventures!

They're are Morimoto's new BigBangers. I went with white spots in the higher output HXB chip. I got spots because i have 8 other lights up front to cover everywhere else. After a 9 month pre-order I received them in July. It's only just getting dark again in Alaska so I haven't used them much, but I've been running them on the way to work this week and I'm very satisfied. These suckers are BRIGHT. They are back-lit in amber if you're in to that sort of thing (I'm not, I have the back light hooked up but never turn it on)

They are a powerful light and make a lot of heat - you can feel them from 4+ feet away. That means no icing up in the winter like some LEDs, hopefully they are built to handle the heat long term. I have no concerns, Morimoto has been in the lighting game for a long time and make a quality product. I've been running Morimoto stuff for over a decade at this point, and have every size of Banger light they make on my Bronco.

What do you do for gasoline?
It's 204 miles between gas stations.
I rolled into "The Hub of Alaska" with about 70 miles to spare and still had my 2 gallons on the Hammer Built tailgate mount. The bronco gets pretty decent mileage at those slow Denali Hwy speeds.

I'm going to swap my 2 gal Rotopax out for a 3 gal can soon. I have a 2 gallon Armadillo Bag (literally a gas bag) I've strapped to the spare tire before as well.

I just came from Fairbanks to Anchorage pushing hard, 1 tank, filled up when back home with 14 miles to empty. Had to drop speed and went to eco mode around trapper creek.

Beautiful photos as always! I want to spend more time up there next summer. Couple days this summer made me want more.

Cool pics and you just added something to my bucket list!

I've never seen a rooftop tent like that before that spreads to the ground. Interesting.

I have my great grandfather's photo album of him helping build the Alaska Highway before WW2. There are pics of the workers camps with grizzlies wandering through. Looks like they were an accepted part of life, no worries. There are notes on the back of some pics about the mosquitos. Heh.

Damn, brave! I'm not sure i could make it. I get 13.5 mpg at 70 mph when loaded for a trip.

I'm going to be that guy what front bumper is that?
Two of those guys.
do you have a build thread OP?
I keep meaning to do one, but I just haven't taken the time.

It's CBI's Baja Hybrid.

Cool pics and you just added something to my bucket list!

That annex is a game changer. I love it. The Odyssey was the only low-pro aluminum hard shell on the market that had any form of annex. Many of the soft shell or folding composite hardshells (think Ikamper) have big annexes, but for some reason no one makes them for their low profile hardshells.

Yea I did, but their website wouldn't ship to Alaska and my email asking them if they would ship to me went unanswered.
Alaska problems. Having the same issue for a Rough Country duffler delete.

Also I spy Clearwater Creek! Packrafted that on an extremely memorable caribou hunt.

Those pictures made my day, looks unbelievable. is most of the journey unpaved?
The Denali Highway is mostly unpaved yes. There are paved sections up to Tangle Lakes and at the western entrance as well, but they are short.
