Diode white cubes on A pillar for ditch and they work great. I have Rigids on rear bumper as floods, same as the FP lights it looks like, and they are fine too. DD has a cleaner look to me vs FP on A pillar.

I prefer the ford rigid 360 4 inch rounds. I like the round look and the ford performance black covers are a bonus. No backlighting but not important to me. My rigids look like new where my diode dynamics on my f150 have some fading on the powdercoating. Shop around and you can find the ford performance for a good deal...ebay etc... I got another set for $250 so I'm going to run duals on each pillar with zroadz bracket.

The Ford Performance kit is nothing more then a set of Rigid 360-Series lights and a sub-par wiring harness that you need to hack apart. I've also seen first hand that the hardware that they provide rusts REALLY QUICK.

Diode Dynamics are Made in the USA and have an 8 year warranty. Easier on the pocket too and you can get whatever pattern you want. Our kit actually includes a Really Nice upfitter harness so we take all the guess work out of wiring it

But if you like the look of the Rigid 360-Series then you can buy the lights from us here:

https://www.4x4truckleds.com/led-auxiliary-lights/rigid-industries/360-series/

And for a harness... well the 360-series don't have a connector on the end, you have to splice in your own soooo what a lot of folks do is they buy our DT4 harness and put connectors on the rigid 360 series.

Where are your lights installed? The 360-series feature an amber back-light (unless you get the SAE fogs, which are only intended for down low in the fog area... SAE fogs should not be run up on the pillars).

Definitely don't go the Ford Performance route if you actually want to have backlights. The Ford Performance version does not have backlights on any of the normally backlit Rigid lights because they cut off the white wire that connects the backlights.

If you like the Rigid 360-Series lights, and you do want the backlights, we have multiple options available for them.
All of our kits come with our patented plug-and-play harness system, and you can even attach the backlights to your parking/marker circuit to run automatically with your headlights/parking/marker lights, using our Marker Adapter Harness.

If you prefer to go the Diode Dynamics route, we also can kit any of their lights together with our plug-and-play harness system, and your choice of our a-pillar brackets and offer you kit discounts on it all.

We also have Baja Designs as an option for the a-pillar kits, so if you wanted to do something with their lights that have backlights, you could do an LP4 or LP6 kit with amber backlights.

Feel free to look at a couple of our videos to see how some of our wiring and kits work.

If you have any questions at all, or if you want to run through the pros and cons of each option, I am more than happy to go through everything with you on a call at your convenience. We can customize pretty much any kit to your liking with these lights, as well.

You can call or text me directly at 317-934-6778 and I will gladly help in any way possible.

Thanks!

I don't know how any company can make a "plug and play" system when you are tapping into a bare wire (what you get with your toggles). The Ford Performance Rigid ditch light kit and any other kit you buy, is going to require some kind of splice. I went the FP route because in my opinion had the best mount (not the universal mount typical of Rigid) and they are powder coated black (not chrome), I had no want or need for backlights. Through Ford Accessories the Rigid 360 ditch light kit is $323 if you can wait a few weeks for a 25% sale.

Our kits plug directly into the back of the light and are truly plug and play. There is no need to splice any wires at the light or cut anything. We also don't require the customer to use additional adapters to convert a DT plug to a WP plug and vice versa. All of our a-pillar kits include the correct harness out of the box.

And it's plug and play because it plugs right into factory wires. All you have to do is strip back the factory wire and then crimp it onto our harness. We even have a pre-installed weatherproof heat shrinkable wire connector already on the wire. So i'd still call that plug and play as you are simply inserting the (stripped) factory upfitter wire into our connector and crimping it.

You don't need to install a relay and cut wires or install additional adapters/etc...

That's what I'm saying, these plug and play kits, still require stripping/crimping/heat shrinking the factory wire. Sure the FP one should've done some steps to save a guy 10 extra minutes, but the bracket and the price make it out to be a pretty good option for those that want just functional lights, and don't need back-lights, which are pretty much decoration.

The Ford Performance kit requires you to do a LOT MORE work then our kit does. You actually have to cut wires, install relays, bypass switches, etc... it's not as easy. Not only that but they don't even really protect the wire properly or give you stainless steel hardware.

The kits also lack the back-lighting.

So people think they are getting a DEAL on a Rigid kit but fail to understand it's lacking a lot more.

Same example with the Putco BRONCO emblems. Less $$ from Ford BUT lack features then the normal Putco ones.

If you like Rigid lights it's recommended to work with a re-seller and get an actual Rigid kit that includes the additional features, better harness, etc...

Kits we sell we are happy to put connectors on the Rigid 360 lights for customers making it a lot easier to install.

No relays or bypass switches are required to install the Ford Performance Rigid 360 4" kit. Cutting the wire take all of 1 second, talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. If you can't install that kit, there's no way you could install any of them.

Agree. Ford Rigid kit is exactly the same as the kit you get on the Rigid website but better. No backlighting but you get black powdercoated brackets (dont like ahiny metal brackets) and Ford performance covers. Harness is awesome and you simply connect a wire to aux switch and battery...pretty simple. No scare tactics needed it is just a set of lights. Round Rigid is a great choice. Square Baja and Diode is great.

I went with the Diode Dynamics from 4x4TruckLEDs as I could choose the beam pattern I wanted and the backlighting was a plus. Came this close to purchasing the FP version but the complete kit through 4x4 with the upfitter wiring harness made it a no brainer.

Don't have the kit yet as I'm guessing they're back-ordered (waiting patiently, I swear) but I'll report back once I have it installed.
