I agree.
I have bought several things from them.
Their products are custom, very high quality and worth waiting for.
I WILL AND WOULD BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
We all better realize something....businesses of all types in every sector are hurting from one key thing; lack of personnel. No one seems to want to work anymore. This means businesses are going to be short handed and it will take longer to make and fill orders.
Sorry for those that are waiting, but this is a great Company.

The problem is they are not responding AT ALL! This is concerning, seems they have one foot out the door and the other is on ice. Like I said, I would have zero difficulty waiting, I've already waited for 5 months, however the lack of communication on any level is concerning for a business that is going under. I will be damned if I want to give this guy 1500 bucks for him to play grab ass with his Ferrari. If he has that type of money he's got enough to pay someone just to take care of emails and phone calls. Sounds like a fair number of people got screwed on the aftermarket hard top and this (at least at this moment) is starting to smell that way as well.

This business is obviously just a toy to him. I get that. I started a WISP because I wanted Internet at my rural home, not because I wanted another source of income. I had several mountain top tower sites and years of RF knowledge. Everything fit hand-in-glove. It was fun at first. The damn thing grew like mad and got WAY out of hobby business territory, especially during COVID. Here is where me and Mr Heidel differ. I felt a special obligation and a duty to my Internet customers. Even though they weren't making me tons of money, I always made sure they were being heard and taken care of. I could have said "screw 'em, they can't get better service anywhere else". That was true in some cases, but I had families and businesses that stayed with me even after other options were available to them. That says a lot. I had always gone the extra distance for each and every one of them. When I sold the business we had over 500 customers and covered over 7 counties. I knew most of them personally. Take some pride in what you are doing. There is a good feeling that comes along with that. Either get serious, sell out, or quit. His work and business ethics are vulgar and in my mind, can't be justified or condoned by buying anything from him.

I got a BYOD rail and the DNA badges from them, took forever to get here, but they did get here. Some people said the color on the DNA badges have faded but mine have been solid (so far) and very happy with what I got overall.

I currently have the shift knob for the manual transmission on order. It was (supposed to) ship last month. I also like the Magnum rails, but that’s more money than I’m personally willing to risk on this company.

Their behavior and seemingly endless lead times screams of cash-flow problems. So I’ve been limiting myself to one product at a time and no more than a couple hundred bucks. Essentially gave myself a “gambling limit”.
I got a pair of stirrups in the beginning of ‘22, then ordered 2 more a year later. Have a TAP and accompanying BALLS that I get to work with any other phone holders.

Anyway, at the beginning, they were pushing products and replying to inquiries. I see a question on fb about a Feb order for “steps” from them and they won’t answer. I see they have been removed from the website. While I like the company and the products I will no longer mention the products for fear it would lead others into the current mess @EIGHTLUG you still out there? Get ready for a flood of charge disputes.

Yes, but the main problem is once it's clear and obvious to everyone that their 6 to 8 week or 8 to 12 week timelines or whatever they are are already gone, they continue to give the same time frames. So instead of being truthful and saying hey could be 10 to 12 months, because there's people literally waiting 10 months + right now. New prospective buyers are basically being lied to.
I think if company's said the timeline is X, and they delivered, people would be happy.
when I bailed on ADV for my top after I saw the assemble it yourself video (and got a refund), I bought an anderson top. Anderson's website and their dealer (they only sell through dealers) represented a 4-6 month time frame. I was fine with that, and they did not want ANY money until it was ready to ship. They cleaned up some production issues and I got my top after 9 weeks.
be straight with customers instead of BSing us and you will win respect

I’m in the same boat as many others. I ordered DNA emblem badges in March with a lead time of 8 weeks. I purchased some items from them the year before without issue and I was unaware of the problems that people were having when I placed this order.

My question is has anyone on this forum received anything from them since June or July?

The Mustang Forum and Jeep Forum have these same threads but all of the people who are reporting that they received their orders are from before June from what I can tell.

Knowing that someone has received something in the last few months would at least indicate that they are still in business.
I would prefer to have the badges vs disputing the charges but at this point it doesn’t seem like that’s going to be an option.

You need to make your choice. I have not heard of anyone getting screwed out of money from this company. I look around at damn near every business and kind of business in my area. They are ALL hurting from lack of personnel. Many have closed, reduced hours/days open. I see people bitching about bad service all over social media....but many of the same...don't want to work either. I am making no excuses for any business...but the fact remains, businesses cannot get personnel. In the case of Archetype....you need skilled personnel too. I had a business and am luckily retired....I would hate to be in business now in this environment. I guess one question to ask; do you want them answering phones and emails or making and shipping products? I hope you get a resolution to these issues. I will end in saying that their products are top of the line!

The local police where Archetype Racing is located.

The company is still collecting orders and taking money. They are not responding to emails or phone calls. And, they’re not delivering orders.

I’d think the local police would want to know this. This is a brick and mortar business in their county.

I’m at least putting in a call.

It comes down to disputing credit card charges. If you bought with the estimate of, say, 12-18 weeks, and you’re at week 19 and they refuse to answer the phone or your email, file the dispute and let the cc company handle it. He’s been on here a lot in the past wanting pm’s for lists and then making statements about antsy customers and talking about acquiring new machinery to make it in-house and speed up the processes … now 👻

Every post I saw by him continued to push the 10-12 week timeframe and was supposed to be getting quicker with the purchase of “new machines”. I’ve seen no improvement in the timeline for deliveries and now they’re not even answered emails etc.

I am reaching 5 months of waiting on my order, and it was listed as 8-10 week wait so I am over double the amount of wait time. I have messaged him several times, and I just get "I will check" and then never got a respond until I asked again and got "I will check" and no answer. Now, I am just getting absolutely ignored for several messages. I would feel more comfortable if I knew the company was still actually working on the orders. It is not a good feeling being completely ignored by a company that has your money and will not offer any updates.

again. I know this is hard to follow. But lets try
Make a widget. Charge $1500, pre order and tell them 4-6 weeks
you cant afford labor, you cant afford machinery you cant afford raw goods and realize your error. For whatever reason your just can’t do what you say
do you:

1) charge another 100 people $1500 and push deliveries to 1 to 2 years (gross $150000)
2) start to charge 75 people $2000 and deliveries are 4-6 weeks? (gross $150000)
3) charge 50 people $3000 and deliveries are 1-2 weeks (gross $150000 so the net MUST GO UP!!! 1/2 the materials, 1/2 the labor, 1/2 the machine time)
4) stop selling things you can’t afford to make OR deliver
5) buy a fancy car, another fancy car and a fancy truck and push #1 MORE and push deliveries back some more while introducing a plethora of new products to new buyers on new forums . If you are making enough to buy playthings your business IS PROFITABLE. I don’t care what anyone buys with the money they earn. taking orders and not delivering is suspect

Why would anyone care about why you can’t do it. If you can’t meet your obligations stop taking orders. Really simple.

At this point they just need to come up with a good sob story and all is forgiven. A really good one and that’s how America works. Hell if it’s good enough they could always white knight gofundme

Also maybe they are making the parts INSIDE the luxury vehicles? I guess you could call and ask if they answer the phone.

#4 is what an honest person would do, but there's also an option 6, which is to take out a business loan to get your production funded so that you actually have products to sell, which then pay the loan back as well as earn you the money to fund the next production run. Then if you're lucky you can actually make a little bit of profit off the 2nd or 3rd production run, and you have happy customers showing off your products bringing you more sales.
