Those battery-powered ones look awesome. Game-changer.

FWIW ARB now offers battery packs for their Zero line but I don't think they get even close to that amount of life.

After doing a little research I see that Helux is just buying the fridges from a manufacturer (who also sells them to a company called Companion in Australia.

The only difference I know of is that Helix specifies a larger battery than Companion.

Rebranding isn't unique as we know the ARB cooler are Dometic coolers.

I think if I were to drop this kind of money I'd go with the Dometic due to their track record. But it also depends on if you plan on removing the cooler from your vehicle or just leave it plugged in all of the time.

I just bought a budget fridge from BougeRV. Been testing it And so far so good, but obviously not a top end like dometic.

I mention it because they sell battery pack that connects directly to their fridges. However I wasn't able to find how long it will run.

I will say I just tested mine with a Blueetti EB55 and using the Freezer/Fridge configuration, it ran for about 24 hours. Tested it a second time using the fridge/fridge configuration and it ran for 48 hours.

In both tasks, I did not run it all the way down till it shut off, but the EB55 was at 0% for some time when I just called it.

The Fridge pulled about 30 watts while running, 0 between run cycles.

I think Helux may have gone bye bye.

Their site no longer works.
