I’m having an issue with my front doors locking while the vehicle is in idle and the fob is inside. Idle can mean in park with the engine running, or in drive, but brake applied.
If my husband gets out to open a gate, or pump gas, it locks him out and I have to hit the unlock button so he can open the door. This happens when he is a passenger or when he is driving. It’s my Bronco, and it’s never happened to me before, but I usually have the fob on me, not in the Bronco when I’m opening the door. I’m worried about getting locked out while the vehicle is running, or while the fob is inside.
I’ve checked the settings and nothing is relevant to this issue. Anyone else having this problem? Is this a software problem that can be fixed at the dealership? I have an automatic if that makes a difference. I noticed a few manual Broncos were having a different locking issue.
