Dropping your reservation? Trade it.

I have heard lots of frustrated members saying they are dropping out of the waiting game. I totally get it. But for those of us waiting I'm curious if it's possible to sell your reservations to someone, for a fair value, to a member who has a more recent order? I know many of the people here have been waiting a long time but that car is going to get made anyway and just sell at the dealership.

Good luck with that. Reservations aren’t transferable and we’ve already seen stories of people losing the vehicle at delivery time because the reservation wasn’t in their name.

Not possible. I mean, you could take delivery and then sell it to that person, but you can't sell the reservation.

No, it’s been stated numerous times that you cannot sell your reservation. You may only transfer it to an immediate family member.

Ugh. Last thing I want to see is more people with disposal income moving ahead of me due to $. Doesn't seem my Jul2020 reservation is worth anything anyway but maybe some day it will matter. Waiting with no end in sight. Good times.

Can this happen if dealer used someone else’s timestamp/rezzy, but your name is on the Dora and invoice?

Right now, it can be argued that a reservation is a handicap in getting scheduled.

Only if the dealer receiving the vehicle is a good person and amenable to guaranteeing in writing (in blood) that when res A vehicle arrives it will be sold to person B at whatever agreed upon price.

Keep in mind that having a reservation does not require you to take possession of reserved vehicle when built. You can walk at any point - even if that point is dealer springing $20k ADM on you while you have pen in hand.
