It is very aggravating to look at the big red box sitting in the corner of my garage knowing I can’t install because I will fail our state inspection. I was going to go with their charge pipes and intercooler too but I am looking elsewhere based off this situation. Injen should look for another Bronco as their tester rarely drives or so it seems.
They ought to send out one of these to everybody that's asked for one that has a 23 model year and we can all test them. It sounds like it's just a very small little modification part which is not going to cost them diddly to send us each one so we can get rid of our error code at least for now. Then there's more test cases instead of "supposedly" one, which I don't even know if I believe exists. It seems that guy's had a thousand miles on his test vehicle for the last two or three months now. Like I said I call BS 🤯

I think I have put 2500 miles on mine in the time their tester has had 1000.

I would gladly volunteer to demo the 'fix' if they will sell me one with a discount and get them their mileage with conditions monitoring to get this thing moving forward!

Anybody know if having the FP Tune eliminates that code being thrown?

I have the tune, was hoping it would do the trick, but no such luck.

I got this update today:

Hello Linn,

Thank you for your patience regarding the update on this fix ! The customer is around the 2,000 mile mark, and has not gotten a check engine light yet ! We can send you the updated tube with the new fitting, since as of right now everything is checking out. I would just need your proof of purchase from wherever the intake was bought and shipping address. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns !

Best regards

Hey guys, first post on here! Joined the club after buying my 24’ Wildtrak back in March. Decided to add the Injen CAI shortly after I installed my IAG AOS. No CEL’s after the AOS…but the morning after the Injen CAI was installed I got the code P04DB as well. The dealer reset the code and said it was fine to drive. The code came on the next morning. Everything seems ok when driving it but I’m wondering if it is ok to drive like this as I have an 8 hour trip to the Off-Rodeo TN next week! I contacted Injen and got a response email from Lucas Delgado and he circled where the PCV valves connect to the CAI and requested me to send a pic of it. He said they have a fix for it but hasn’t said what yet. Does anybody know what the fix is? All of the connections are snug and I tried cleaning the IAT sensor. Very disappointed with Injen right now….i also ordered their dual cat back exhaust and there were a lot of scratches on the stainless steel. Got their charge pipes as well and those look ok but I can’t install that until I get my intercooler eventually. All in all I’ve got over $2k in Injen parts and I’m hoping they step it up with their customer service. Thanks in advance, and glad to join the forum!

They have a different connection for the 24 models. Ford did a change from the 21 which I have and Injen had to make a change on their CAI. As for the error, you would probably be fine to drive with the code, also the pic is because they want to see what version you have of their CAI. The one issue I do have with Injen is that they do not keep things separate or up to date for certain products. Maybe on their site, but other resellers not so much.

The charge pipes fit on the stock intercooler without issues. I am running them and have been waiting for Injen to release their IC, which they told me would be in Q1 of 2025.

Gotcha, makes sense why they want a pic of that section. I’m gonna send it first thing in the morning. Cool, yeah I hope there’s no unforeseen damage being done by driving it currently. I bought it from Extreme Terrain and it didn’t mention anything about it. Of course the other items I got from Injen.

How do you like the charge pipes? Were they easy to install? How long did it take you? I was planning on getting a high mount intercooler from Wagner or Mishimoto but idk if the pipes will fit with those intercoolers. I’ll probably wait until Q1 2025 as well to decide on which one to buy. Thanks for the quick reply!

FWIW, not the high-mount IC here. Though, the Mishimoto OE location intercooler in their IC + charge pipe kit works fine with the Injen CAI. Some very minor deviations from the Mishimoto supplied standoffs is all.

No codes have been observed with the updated Injen driver's side intake pipe.

The Injen intake pipes have a larger diameter than stock. I don't think that would interfere with the high mount solution but it does fill in the free space. Just something to be aware of:

The charge pipes are great, and I purchased the red ones which really dress up the engine bay. As for putting them on, it was not super hard, but time-consuming because I had already done the CAI, so I had to take it back apart to reach certain items to get the charge pipes on. The cold side being the hardest as there was a nut that you had to have a wrench on both sides to take off. My oversized hands had a hard time getting back there.

I love the setup. I go to many car shows, and I always pop my hood with all my vehicles. It feels good when people come by and take a look and you here the comments :) Lol, good or bad.

Same thing I had to do. I’ve had the new drivers side tube for months and I’m just now about to install it this week lol
