Have a F150 and Bronco sport and was thinking of keeping the sport instead of the f150.
So I have a big Bronco and a Sport (wife's ride), and I've owned F150s

The main Bronco vs Sport - very different vehicles.

The Sport is a consumer, on road drive. It has much better fit and finish, it's a much smoother experience. Sure, it has some off road GOAT modes, but it's very much the same vein as the Escape / Edge / Explorer.

It can go down dirt roads, it can tackle some trails - but so can an Explorer. It is really the direct descendant of the older first/second gen Ford Escape, and more like a mini-Explorer or quirky Edge than anything. It definitely feels and acts bigger than the current gen Escape it's based on. The Sport compares very well to the Subaru lineup, or the Rav4 - vehicles along those lines.

Big Bronco - nothing at all to compare it to in the Ford lineup, completely different animal. It's direct comparison is the Jeep Wrangler or FJ, or the older Hummers. It's an offroader first, and everything else comes second, with very few compromises to capability.

Interior - with respect to room, the Sport and Bronco are pretty close - both are smaller vehicles. Uou'll notice the Sport a bit narrower and smaller, but it isn't hugely so - unlike the difference in the F150 to either of these. Both Broncos the back seat is more a well intentioned thought than an actual functional back seat. The interior quality and fitment on the Sport, if you are just looking at similar trim packages, is on par with the F150. The F150 has a lot more options and upscale trim packages, so I'd have to give the nod to the F150 if you are willing to spend on it. The interior is probably the biggest drawback of the big Bronco - it's not all that great... the Sport and F150 are both notably better on the interior than the Bronco. The Bronco is very utilitarian, a lot of cheap and plain plastic that is easy to damage, and very much function over form.

Even with the smaller 3-cylinder, the Sport doesn't feel underpowered - it's quite perky and nimble. You won't mistake it for a sports car, or a diesel hauler, but it's fun to drive. My big Bronco definitely has more pep in it's step, but that isn't a put down to the Sport. Both feel vastly more nimble, agile, and quicker than the F150 - the F150 feels like I'm driving an Abrams Tank down the road in comparison.

I have a lot more fun driving either Bronco, but you can definitely stretch your legs out in the F150, even if you are in the back seat, and there's something to be said for that. All 3 are very much different vehicles.

Our Sport has the 2.0 and it gets around pretty good. The wife really likes the sport but whenever we see a reg. Bronco she likes it so much and wants one. Personally i think she would be happy with the exterior but unhappy with the noise and the interior. As pointed out the reg. Bronco is off road first. The sport having a similar shape to the older gen Escapes is one of the things the wife likes as she had a Escape and loved it and was super bummed when they change them to look like a pinched off turd. When i showed her the first pics of the sport she said "OMG is that the new Escape!?"

Not going to lie that id like to just keep the sport and trade my f150 for a f150 raptor but....happy wife as they say....

Another issue is our sport is a limited and to get one with equal options id have to go limited again and im not real comfy with that price point and most limited have ADM.

Agree on the comparison to the FJ. Feels more like my past FJ than the Wranglers that I had. Also has a similar feel to the 4Runner. I can see similarity to the H3 as well.

I'm like a lot of responders and have both. I have a 2011 F-150 4x4 Crew Cab Lariat with a 5.0 V8 and a 2023 Badlands 2.7 SAS and Lux. I love both but the F-150 wins out for a more comfortable interior and better sound system (Sony) and the Broncos just plain FUN to drive. My wife won't drive the F-150 because it's to big but boy oh boy she has no problem driving the Bronco, I did put on a set of steps on just the front doors for her 😉🍍🍕

Has anyone gone from a F150 to a Bronco? Did the Bronco feel really small inside compared to the F150?
I came out of a 2019 Harley Davidson F-150. Yes, there Is a difference a big difference. But with that said it was not enough for me to not enjoy my Bronco. Honestly, my Harley was HUGE. It was as wide as a raptor and had a 6" lift. It had 22's on it, with 35 tires. There were places it could not fit, and parking spots were sometimes a pita. I am 6-4 1/2, 295. I am not a small man, but I fit in my Bronco great. Yes, I lost some backseat space, but lol I do not sit back there. As for the comfort, I made sure to get a LUX package to have all the features that my F150 had. The only thing I am missing is the AC in the seats.

For the use, I did not use my F150 as a truck. It was my daily that had a bed. I had the rug carpet, and at a show someone asked why is it so clean??? Well lol, I never hauled anything. Well, I did have some cardboard back there once. So again the Bronco fits for what little I do carry and haul. What the Bronco DOES check-off is OFF-ROADING. I had other F-150's that I could off-road in. The Harley was not going to do this. No way could I take it down a trail. So getting rid of it check my box for a off-roader.

My wife has a Bronco Sport HEL and she loves it. All she miss though is the big screen that is in mine. We do have an eye out a 2 door HEL, she may consider it. That is her choice. She does not off-road. AT all. It is a 100% mall crawler. I do belive that the HEL could do well off-road better than most may think. I fit in it as well, and I am comfortable. I would say the fit and finish is very nice, though it is the top dog for the sports, and yes, it is a very upgraded more capable escape.

If you want room, then you will not beat the F-150. If you want fun, and slightly less room, then get a Bronco. Again it's not like nobody can fit in the back, it has room, but its not F-150 room. Let the seats down and you can easily fit stuff to haul. BTW, all of this is the 4-door experience.

Again I love my Bronco and I have not looked back at all.

I had 3 F150 Supercrews in a row and was worried a bit going into a Bronco but what clinched it for me was I wanted something fun, something different, something manual, etc etc. I haven’t had my Bronco a month yet but I can’t stop smiling every time I drive it 😊😃

I have both and the F150 seems huge, didn't used to... my F150 is an XLT, so I don't have 360 cameras (just rear), a lot of guessing on parking lot clearances.
However my F150 is so quick, smooth and quiet, even with KO2's. 3.5EB.

I will echo everything already said about the differences . I went from my 2007 F-150 King's Ranch SuperCrew 5.0 to the 2Dr Bronco Badlands 2.7 with a 2020 Ranger FX4 Lariat as an in-between while waiting on the Bronco to be delivered. I loved the KR F-150 and drove it a long time because I needed something to tow my tractor and do construction things when I was building my house. I purchased the Ranger because I still needed something to tow my tractor when I sold the F-150 prematurely because Ford mislead me on when the Bronco would be built. Since 2007 I just hadn't seen anything out there that I would be willing to spend that kind of money on again until the Bronco was announced. I reserved a Bronce since I no longer need that much tow capability and I can get anything I need with my 14' trailer behind a Bronco . I will tell you this, I have a big grin every time I drive the Bronco. The F-150 and Ranger, well they were just nice trucks to me.
