Factory Film Protection

Is anyone having any issues with their factory paint protection film?
I just took mine to the dealership because it was damaged in one area and they said it isn't covered under warranty. This seems to be a defect but they are claiming an animal or something hit it. I pointed out the webbing that seems like it would come from heat but they didn't budge. This was just the service employee that I spoke with. Any advice?
