Wow that's rather surprising.... the surprising part is the fact that NJ is similar to another state on something and it's not about being the highest taxed or most expensive.
My credit union is doing 1.99% and they are going all the way up to 84 months if I wanted to.
To add to some of the other things I saw on here, the beauty of credit unions (or maybe just some, not sure) is they don't just go on your credit score. They factor in so much more, so even if you had a low(er) score, like in the 620-675 range, you could still get approved. And if you are approved, they?/mine? only offer the one rate. So someone with a 650 score is going to get the same 1.99% as someone with a 750 score.
Bank of America has some great rates. With my platinum honors designation at BoA I get a 0.5% rate reduction. I was expecting a rate of 1.89% However, since I am putting down about 25k and the Bronco is in high demand, I was able to get a 1.69% rate for 60-66months. Boom!
