Yeah it’s gotta bemust be the inflation!
It’s possible. The shop that quoted $1100 said they are going to blend the fender. Those high prices are likely the cost to repaint the entire door. If stuff doesn't buff out it's better to have consistent color in one go.
don't worry I have seen an "administration" claiming we had zero inflation for the month of July............. paint must be cheaper nowYeah it’s gotta be

Sorry, don't mean to go off-topic.... but why do you need to wear pants with the doors off?Not only can something like this occur when removing or installing the doors, but when the doors are off ,you have to make sure you are wearing pants when driving. No thanks.
Agreed,It's a very nice feature that the doors come off. But a door is a door and it is pretty heavy and has to be delicately removed, stored, then delicately placed on two hinges to re-install. Seems like there is potential for damage in any of those steps- even of you are careful. I don't plan on taking my doors off. I liked the removeable top half of the doors (windows) on my 97 TJ I sold to get the Bronco. The half doors were perfect in great weather. And the top half was easy to remove and store.
It really just depends on what you consider pantsSorry, don't mean to go off-topic.... but why do you need to wear pants with the doors off?
Asking for a friend......
This is pretty much it. Like I said earlier it was my own fault for attempting it on the dark. Should have asked for help with a light. Also edge protection seems to be a good go to in the future.Agreed,
But the Bronco doors with the frameless windows and integrated grab area on the bottom of the doors are much less awkward to remove vs. the Wrangler doors. Definitely need to be careful, slow, and methodical either way or scratches &/or dings will happen!
