I rode by my local Ford Dealer today and noticed they had a 2 door Big Bend with the Sasquatch package, 2.7 L engine. I have a 4 door Outer Banks but I wanted to drive one. The dealer let me drive it for about :20 and stated that this one is a demo and they can’t sale it for 6 months per Ford. I don’t know if they can‘t sale it because Ford wants more people that reserved a Bronco to get one before the general population can go and just buy one. I would like to add that the turning radius is a lot better than I thought it would be and the 2.7L was smooth. I was up to 65 mph before I even realized it. Either way it was nice to get behind the wheel and actually drive a Bronco. I know I need to be patience but after driving it today, I wish my order would be here sooner. I am a day 3 reservation so I may be waiting for a while.

Big Bend, not Badlands. But…. Still looks great!

Which engine did it have and your impressions of that engine?

The reason why they can't sell it before then:

2.7L and I liked it as it had great pick up especially with those big tires. I was up to 65 without even noticing it. Also, the turning radius was a lot better then I thought it would be. I was impressed and really like the eco boost.

Thanks for this additional information and he did tell me 6 months but I assume his GM knows that it is 7 months. I do appreciate this info!

Test drove a 2dr Big Bend over the weekend with the 2.7L. After owning a ‘15 JK and hated it. I’ll start with the top was off and I left my wife drive it off the lot. She hopped on the highway and had to merge with heavy traffic, no problem. It felt just a tad slower than my ‘18 F150 Platium 3.5L, but faster than my ‘15 Diesel Porsche. We immediately noticed how well it rode over the JK. Spirited launches broke the tires loose easily.

Quoted me before I could fix an error, which was I didn't know how long the dealership had it.

The MIC top looked good. I like that it is dark gray, almost black.
It looked better than I thought and it didn’t have the sound damping but still was not loud going down the road at 65mph. I had no problem having a conversation with the sales guy.

Now the bad……there was a whistle an annoying whistle that I would have to locate if I spent 5 more minutes in it. I hate noises! Someone than the speakers adjusted all the way to the front. I moved the fade to a more neutral position and the audio fell flat on it’s face, no bass. The rear speakers where no existent, and this was a two door. Again roof was off. Wife had trouble finding a comfortable seating position and I heard “ Well at least ours will have power seats” had to tell her it’s not an option. Not a fan of the steering wheel airbags cover, square pillow. Overall I’m a Bronco fan and can’t wait till one of my two show up. Even found an Easter egg while test driving. Hint: sit in passenger seat look at the roll bar by your head.
