Flat tow battery disconnect

So I have been reading alot of threads. About flat towing. It seems to me their is a simple way to stop the trans and transfer case failure. Get system into flat tow mode then just disconnect the battery's no way for electric system glitches no way for system to default. Am I missing something seems simple. I would rather reset radio then pay for new trans.

That was discussed early on. It specifically states in manual to not disconnect battery. It can possibly lead to problems when you arrive at destination and reattach battery. I sure wish it was that easy.

Thank you hadn't seen that. It seems so simple. Computers phones etc turn on and off everyday. Don't see see why the Broncos system would be different

Your idea would work if the problem is that the Bronco shifts out of neutral tow somehow during the tow. It has not been shown that this is the problem. I think it might be inadequate disengagement of the AWD clutch when in neutral tow. Ford has not been forthcoming in acknowledging the issue.

Small issue, but I use the Bronco battery to power my RVI brake. It could be powered by an auxillary battery though

I have demco air brake system. So one one in flat tow. I would guess everything would be disengaged. Disconnect battery and nothing could glitch. As far as I know there is now backup battery in any systems

Hello so I was looking at the Chevy flat procedure. And they tell you disconnect the battery once in flat tow. This has my brain spinning what the difference is between the Ford and Chevy. Wondering why the Ford would lose it memory and Chevy wouldn't.

Totally different parts and everything, so I’m sure they’re controlled differently

Also on other note my 23 Bad land had transfer case go bad in 18000 miles. Makes wonder how hve had problem and didnt know it. Then flat tow and it blows up the trans. Would have liked to open it to to we what happened. But Ford said just replace it
