FordPass 5

Just opened up FordPass this morning and on the home page there is a selection tab "Try FordPass 5." Maybe a beta version of the next generation??? Anyone else receive this and/or has tried FordPass 5??

Ford is working on a new version of the FordPass app—there’s been a private beta going on for awhile now but sounds like the public beta started this month and you got selected to try it out.

Personally don’t know much about it other than they were working on it. Those that were apart of the private beta were under an NDA. I’ve personally only seen a few screenshots (perhaps concept screenshots?) that were leaked online. But that’s it.

EDIT— Yup… looks like the public beta started. Stolen from the F-150 Lightning forum…

I like the new layout. Too bad it’s not on my FordPass (and it’s up to date).

Got it too and it is pointless. No new functionality, looks half baked, stuff moved to new screens, can't click on location and see location of car on map. Looks like an entry level developer's promotion project.

It's a got a beautiful blue background now though!

Suggest they study the Tesla app. It’s updated very often and is so useful I consider it one of the primary features of the car. The toybox and theatre apps are extremely useful and I also enjoy being able to view any camera angle from my phone sitting in a restaurant.

Yep. It's just a beta. Link on screen to revert back.

I like the new layout. Seems a bit faster too. Locking/unlocking doors happens almost instantly, and starting it doesn’t take as long.
