I have now received 2 text messages informing me that remote features of the FordPass app have been disabled to preserve the battery. My Bronco is not quite 3 1/2 yrs old with 29,000 miles, but not withstanding this message, I know the time for battery replacement is getting near. The voltage readings have not changed (14.7 upon startup and lowering to 12.7 after a few minutes of driving (all normal to my knowledge). Attached is the message received and inquiring if anyone has comments to make.

This message occurs when the vehicle detects the voltage from the battery has dropped below a specified threshold (I do not know what that is). It can happen from sitting too long, something drawing on the battery, or the battery itself getting weak.

Given that you're on the original battery after 3.5 years, and with how much power newer vehicles require, I'd say you need to replace your battery. The days of getting 5+ years out of a battery are just about gone.

Put a AGM rated trickle charger on it overnight - you might get more time out of it.

I just went through the same. Went and had the battery tested, and it was good, but did need to be charged. Bought a charger and hooked it up overnight and the problem as been gone for a few days. I'm at the same age and with a short daily commute I was draining it faster than it was recharging.

I've been charging the bronco and wife's jeep GC weekly. On Sunday, the bronco needed over at least 8 hours at 10 amps and still wasn't fully charged. That was after a fair amount of short trips on saturday. Before that, it was only a couple hours to get back to fully charged.

Mine has been doing the same thing for about 6 months. Replace the battery and alternator about 18 months ago. Mine is a 2021. worked fine for the first 2 years so what it the difference? I have no interior lights when I get in now. Grapevine Ford told me to drive it more. I have 3 recalls for other things but they still have no parts to fix them. Very disappointed in their service. I have never had a vehicle that had been in the shop this much for warranty work. And they keep it between 3 days to 3 weeks for everything.

I have used an upper grade Battery Tender since the first month. Still have the original battery. It sits during the week while I drive a F150 work truck. If I do not drive it for 2-3 weeks I get this message. It does not appear to be battery level triggered. It appears to be more time related. A BT will prolong the battery life.

There is a timer where it will go into deep sleep regardless of voltage. Something like 11 or 14 days.
