I don't understand the importance of it? They never pull you over from the front and at night they can't see it anyway?

Camera Tickets, Most places that use them want to try and get the driver's face and front plate in the picture. Ditto tollways that don't have manned booths.

Also Lidar/Radar guns work best with a flat, reflective surface to get a good accurate reading.

In other words, it's all about the money and surveillance.

On my speak and spell, it says, "The Tax Cattle goes Moooo". 🤣😂🤣

Front plates, bureaucrats in the states that require them, and all law enforcement officers that use their discretion to enforce the requirement are stupid.

Cops can pull u over for any reason they can come up with, or invent. But no you won’t get a ticket for no front plate if ur from a state that doesn’t require one.
If you don't require one why would you have 1 to install??

Fords placement is God awful ! I just asked my sales rep. Not to mount it, This front plate doesn’t bother me at all, Truthfully I don’t need the hassle or expense of not having it

Washington is a 2 plater. I put on an ADD Rock Fighter winch bumper on and am having to engineer a front plate/camera solution. I mounted my ACC sensor in the light bar slot and have two 7" lights on the bumper with 3” Rigid lights on both sides of the light bar slot. The RF bull bar complicates things since the typical mounts using the fairlead bolts won't work, at least not without modifications. I think I can fab something with quick releases for the plate and put it in front of the winch fairlead opening with the camera above it.

It's a fix it ticket at most. Here in CA they typically will not pull you over for not having a front plate but it can be an add on if you are pulled over for something else. It's the same as window tint... Typically you are being pulled over for something else... I live part time in Michigan and it's a 1 plate state and when i am in CA I have only my rear plate (Michigan does NOT issue 2 plates when you register a car unless you ask for it). Knock on wood i have not had a problem in CA on any of our cars. You are more likely to get questioned as to why you have out of state plates as you are supposed to register your vehicle if you are in CA for more than 6 months but again, no one knows unless you are pulled over for something else. LEO;s are good people and unless you are being a J@(K A$$ and doing something to get pulled over you most likely won't have a problem in CA.... (we create all sorts of other problems here...)

What i do have though is a "sticker" license plate which i just put on my dash if I worry. The other option is just put your front plate on your sun visor and just flip it down. That technically counts....

I am not a lawyer so please take this for what it's worth...

BTW... greatest thing i have found for getting rid of dealer induced plate holes... Bumper Plugs... I don't work for them or have any relationship aside from being a very very happy customer. They color match the paint and you pretty much never see the holes or even think of them being there when you see them (washing the car or just looking in general)... They are awesome and offer a military and veteran, LEO and First Responder discount. Its not much but neither are the plugs. Communication and delivery is awesome as is the finished product.

Thanks...

Jason

It's a fix it ticket unless you drank a 5th of Jack before loading up an M16 and 5 kilos of blow with your 14 year old girlfriend while out on parole. :) It's tough way to learn abouts warrants!

Arizona stopped requiring a front plate in the early 1990s. It was a cost saving measure estimated to save one million a year. Plates cost around $2 each to make.

Police say it makes it more difficult to identify motorists. It seems to me that would only apply if the vehicle is stopped or moving slowly. Or if the agency is using traffic radar. In each situation, there's a work around.

Well, wife got pulled over for no front plate.

I have a no drill plate holder was just hoping to not have to use it.

I'm glad my local PD are focused on the important issues.

What if you are from a state that does not require a front plate and travel through a state that does? Can they pull you over?
No. Only need front plate if you live in and are registered in a state that requires it.

I live in Mass and my front plate sits in my garage until inspection time. Idk, never had an issue, i also have reserved plates (low numbered), so does that help, maybe.
