Gaia on Android Auto

Someone should send Johnny money! Don't use those apps, but what a brilliant solution. I might have to explore whether I can get a couple other apps to appear. I don't understand why android auto restricts so many. Decent weather! Oh, gotta go!

Ah crap - you're correct. I remembered going to full screen (no 2nd pane) but it turns out that only works with the factory nav screen on, not using AA or Carplay.

Rats. Nothing. Don't know what I'm missing. I do get the exclamation mark on the network that there's no internet, which seems obvious... But it doesn't find any new apps.

I use Gaia for my off road navigation, currently Gaia does not work with Android Auto even though Google is allowing 3rd party navigation apps. The other week I was off roading in our 4runner, it was ridiculous to be using my phone screen while there is a built in screen that could be used. If you are so inclined hop over to the Gaia feature request form and let them know that being able to use that huge 12" (or 8") screen with Gaia over Android auto is important!

Mine didn't find any new apps either, but I added the step for posterity. But still after I toggled over to Android Auto I now saw Gaia in the app drawer. Check yours...
