We have been invited to a Ford dealership about 1hr away from us, to test out the GearShade on a 2D! We will be heading there on 12/22. We will be taking photos and doing lots of testing! We will be posting photos by the end of the week.

Will you possibly be producing a Gearshade for the 2D that will work with just the front panels removed and not the entire hardtop?

I can confirm that the gearshade does not work with the 4dr Bestop soft top. I kept wondering why the bestop wouldnt seal correctly in the front middle over the rearview mirror and its due to the 2 plastic clips of the gearshade that prevent the top from fully seating on the seal. Take the gear shade off, no issue with top. Put gear shade on, severe wind noise from soft top. Which is a shame, really like the look of the gearshade, but it only survived a total of 3 miles of maybe 2 hrs on the Bronco in total.

This is the same for the hardtop, the clips need to be removed while using the hardtop. Since the top is up, these clips are not 100% necessary. But you can use the mesh with the top on.

Unclip them and stow them in the pocket.

@GearShade Oh boy! I was close to ordering a 2 Dr "soft top" version, but thought i better see if Gear Shade was on this forum. So glad I did; I want the 2 Dr Hardtop version.

First mod i did…went straight to their shop after i picked up my bronco. Great quality! No metal bar in the middle like the Bestop mesh..

Haven’t tried highway. I always have full top on highway.
