Getting Speakers and Amp installed

Wondering what folks think. Preface with, I’m no expert here.

after debating for a ling time, i decided against the lux model because all I wanted was the speaker upgrade. And I could do some aftermarket damage for that upgrade price.

Now its time to do that upgrade.

I’m not looking for lots of power. I want a good quality sound.

I looked around and found a place that has a good local reputation. Has been around for a generation. And does good business.

After some back and forth, he quoted me 2k for 4 audison prima speakers and a Hertz HCP amp. Going to take 1.5 days to install. (!)

does this sound reasonable?

Did they break out the costs for you?

By my quick Google search, that's about $700 in the amp and speakers. I'm sure they will need some some other installation parts, but that seems like quite a bit of time/money for labor.

Ok,reasonable? Idk. Would I pay that? No.. I am a borderline audiophile head and install my own stuff but never in a million yrs would I pay that price for music in my bronco. If money is no issue then I guess its no Issue…. Thats nuts.. I replaced all my speakers and sub for 1/4 that cost.

I have great quality distortion free sound turned all the way up on the dial for $1340 but Sept installed. I have a write up posted on my install with pictures.if interested.

I'd estimate when all is said and done, with just doing fronts I'll be 8-10hrs in, with the disassembly for research purposes a total of 12 so most of your cost is in labor.
