We all know the included GOAT Modes (i.e. PRESETS) by Model was somewhat nonsensical..
So I made a Chart to illustrate the corresponding differences. Hope it helps...
It seems the "goat modes" marketing was originally assigned to the Models based on the capabilities of the "Default Equipment" on those models. Not considering the capabilities of cust ordered builds.
Base = No Mud/Ruts - No Avail: advanced 4wd, lock diff (SAS wasnt avail orig on Base)
BD FE = No Sport - Std: Stabilizer Bar Disc (Maybe the StayBar is to stiff for Sport??)
BD WT FE = Baja - Std: Front Locker, Advance 4wd, M210 Dana frnt, bilst shocks
BD BL FE = Rock Crawl - Std: Rear locker, HD Bumpers, HD Plates, Rock Rails
So if you add HD Bumpers and Plates and Rails - Shouldn't you get Rock Crawl ?
Or if you add SAS Pkg - Shouldn't you get Baja ?
If you pay for the additional options on any model, shouldn't you get the corresponding modes to use those options Fully, Safely, and to Prevent Wear and Damage?
Ford may need to readdress this....
