one of the reasons ford is using the goodyears on the sas is because for the size they are extremely light. the lighter the tire the better the mileage. you can always get a more puncture resistant tire, but expect it to be considerably heavier than the 85 pounds for the tire and wheel on the sas. ford is more concerned with the CAFE than the longevity of the tires.

I believe they are about 15lbs per tire lighter than a KO2 or Open Country AT3

Glad I went with the 33’s now on my Badlands. Haven’t had any issues with the tires.

I'm watching the second YouTube video in 24hrs that I've seen a rock slash a Goodyear tire. I'm getting a little concerned they are a little on the thin side. 😬🤷🏻‍♂️

I attended the Nevada offroadeo last Friday. The Bronco directly in front of me brushed against a sharp rock. The sound was so loud I thought he busted his tire bead. It actually cut the sidewall a good 4 inches across. We joked with the instructor that he had to demonstrate changing a tire for us.

It was a sasquatch with the Goodyear tires.

On the Off-Roadeo units, The BFG Goodrich KO2 looked a lot less beat up. I suspect there’s a reason the Badlands and Bronco Raptor have these tires instead of the Goodyears.
I disagree with that. Broncos with similar mileage had similar wear regardless of tire brand. I’ve been running KO2s on my superdutys for years and am a fan, I was looking for reasons to hate the Goodyear’s. I don’t think the punishment they take at off rodeo is a fair thing to judge either tire on. These pics are on Broncos with 1900 miles KO2 and 2100 miles GY.
