Congrats on the win! I love that QSL, I lived in Feather Sound from 2003 to 2016 and used to go there all the time. Not a huge bike night fan, but went a few times, but I liked the car shows and the wing/pretzel combo

Participated in a Easter car show with my Pop's at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Pinellas Park today. Had the Grumpster fully detailed yesterday, interior, exterior and undercarriage. So much attention was given to the Grumpster. Took home Overall Best of Show in the 2001-2023 modified truck division.

Overheard at the show:
Hey Grumpy, what are you always grumpy about?"
Grumpy: "Whaddya Got?"
Other Guy: "Eh why dont you just go fishin? And give some the other cars a chance!"
OG-Surfdog: "I told you guys Grumpus has the best lookin Bronc around"

How exactly do they judge? Is it based on how clean it is, or what are the criteria?

They have a category for foreign, classic, muscle, truck and motorcycle. Each of those have 3 secondary categories, stock, modified and year range. The judges go over the whole vehicle, undercarriage/suspension, exterior, engine bay and interior. Each area has a point system, and they only subtract from the total points allowed per area and that's your total. You either max each area or have deductions per area. They are looking for cleanliness, electrical neatness and concealment (no hanging or exposed wiring), modifications, modification installed neatly and correct, eye appeal and flavor (taste). Then they tally up the scores and compare to others in your division category. Highest score wins each, if a tie, the judges all go together and physically look over the ones that tied and take a group vote.
