Hard Top Parts availability for purchase from Ford parts?

Does anyone here know when the hard top will be available to purchase from ford?

the dealer doesn’t seem confident that ford will ever have the hard top available to buy separately, and the only aftermarket option I found costs $6K

Does anyone either A) have some inside info; B) have a hardtop they’re looking to sell; or c) know of an affordable aftermarket hardtop option?. Any help would be appreciate.

Never. Ford has zero interest in selling complete hardtops at the parts counter. They are using their existing partnership with Anderson Composites to deliver aftermarket hardtops. Anderson is close to releasing their tops, which is an exact replica dimensionally of the OEM top with licensing from Ford.

Our Ford Accessories zone manager had an update in his last email, they plan on having hard top accessory kits available Q3 of this year. They didn't announce pricing but said they are working with Dearborn to get that established

Buy the time I decided to buy, the large back panel (shell) was out of stock. I was told 3 weeks and all items would ship. I had to pay in full of course. There's a parts list, posted somewhere on this forum, and there are far more parts required, like all the glass, wipers, etc.

I have seen these come up for sale from rally tops recently and they seem a little more affordable.....

Don't let them tell you they are not available.....you just have to do some digging. I also contacted LQK. They did not have any in stock at the time but they said they have gotten them in the past. LQK is a cheaper option then buying new. It will be the top of a wrecked bronco but top in new condition. I went this route with my sky one touch top for my jeep. It was half the cost of new.

Its a complete top......they sent pictures. Your probably looking at the full schematic. What I posted was not the full Schematic, they emailed me that before I made the deal.

Great, at one point when someone bought all the parts, things like the rear window, wipers, etc, weren't included. Just didn't want you to find out later you had a bunch of added expenses. Glad it's all included now. Old parts list is in post #2 here:

This is the parts list @flip has posted recently for the gen 1 hard top. The gen 2 is identical, but replaces M2DZ-78502G33-AA with M2DZ-78502G33-CA, which is considerably more expensive.

Can you share those pics and the price you were quoted?

This will give those an idea of piecemeal pricing from Fordparts.com. Note that the rear clamshell is from the 2-door as the one for the 4-door was not listed. This is for panels only and you would still need to buy all corresponding hardware, brackets, seals and glass.
