I had my cracked MIC Hardtop replaced by the dealer and now it creaks and groans whenever I am driving. Anyone else had this issue and is there a remedy?

unfortunately, I have the exact same issue. I got mine replaced in the summer last year and the car hasn't been the same since. I feel embarrassed when I take people out in my 60k vehicle and all they hear is "EEEK CLICK CLACK..."

My original top that’s on my 23 BD 4D with 40K now (that has surface cracks in finish that dealer is poo pooing) has just started creaking and popping over the past couple of months……I notice it more when I have passengers in all seats…..not so much with just me alone in the Bronco. I hate noises……I’m a little OCD

has anyone tried loosening all fasteners then setting all panels in place …….let them settle a bit…..then tighten fasteners?

how about lube on seals?

Sometimes lube on fasteners helps in certain applications….

Hi there! If you'd like additional assistance with your concerns, please send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info.

One of the first thing I did when after I bought my 2024 Outer Banks was check the torque on the wheel lugs and the Top hold down bolts.
Both sets of fasteners were under torqued.

Can you tell us what the torque is supposed to be on the Top hold down bolts?
And where did you find that?

Are you sure it's 100% the hard top making these noises?

I recently had a tailgate reinforcement bracket installed, and it definitely helped reduce weird noises coming from the back of my vehicle. I'm not saying your issue isn't hard top related, but it may not fully be.

I am truly sorry to hear about the issues hard top folks seem to be having. Just another example of Ford's piss poor quality control. I had originally ordered my base with a hardtop, but switched to soft, in order to get it sooner. I was so frustrated when I learned that in order to get a hardtop in the future, it would be $7500 from Ford, instead of the $600 add-on. But, I guess I am one of the lucky ones who never had to deal with their poorly manufactured hardtop. Will be ordering an after market hardtop when it is time to replace the soft.
