Curious to hear if anyone has tried out these rollbar grab handles? If so, how do they perform compared to typical paracord grab handles?

I went with the cords. I wonder, with the rigid design, will it get in the way of the airbags? Or does the whole cover fly off when they are deployed (begging the question of whether we want metal bars flying around). Or am I overthinking it?

I have watched people cut their scalps open on hard handles. I would not recommend them.
HELL no. These things rocketing into the side of your skull when those airbags blow sounds suicidal.
I've been in a Bronco crash and would definitely not have wanted these bolted in front of the airbags.

Iāve hit the side of my head on the roll bar when hitting a rut. The plastic cover didnāt feel terribly comfortable. I donāt want to think about what an aluminum grab bar would feel likeā¦

I got them. Love āem. Sit above the air bags and under my jtops. Not lined up directly over head either. New bolts are long. Really sturdy. I canāt even get them to wiggle tugging on them. Not sure why people that donāt own stuff have comments for them.

No way on gods green earth the air bag is taking these off. They donāt even cover the air bag. I can pick myself up by this handle. I can also hold my ass down with it to.
Iām gonna guess no one on here carries/wears ppe while wheelin? Helmet, chest, left leg, arm restraint? Just because itās enclosed donāt make it safe.

Vendors always seem to have issues showing actual install pictures and the important angles. I looked for a couple months before I decided to try these ones out. Seemed like the best option as of now if your running a jtop.

I added some similar but different aluminum handles today, but mine are higher still. They are up as high as the latches for the front panels. There is just enough room to slide my fingers between the bar and the sound deadening on roof panels. Iām on the fence about aluminum vs paracord, but I really hate the dangling look of paracord.

Just installed these yesterday. I agree with everything Ground_zero says. Super sturdy, out of the way, and the airbag fires down not out, so these won't be in the way.
One interesting thing though, last night it was in the low 40s and at speed the handles were cool, almost cold, to the touch while driving. If you live in freezing climates, they may be too cold.
